Based on the inherent routes of climbing walls, which are formed by the rules inherent in the sport of climbing.

However, when the inherent rules are broken, in other words, when the entire wall is no longer distinguished by color, the climbing routes will also become diversified, and there may be more and more possibilities for climbing. Even every step of the climb depends on the climber’s experience or self-selection.

This publication of mine is to recreate 100 different climbing routes by breaking the inherent rules of climbing. In order to make the route look clearer, I set ten starting and ten ending points, and finally presents 100 different climbing routes.
Of course, the routes of two adjacent pages presented in the publication may partially overlap, but the fork in the road due to the different end points means that different outcomes depend on different choices.
In fact, the rock climbing wall is to transport the real rock wall in nature into the indoor space, and simulate the movement route of animals in nature. But there is no specific route for rock walls in nature, and every step of climbing depends on the experience and choice of the climber.
According to the Chinese revolutionary Lu Xun, “There is no road in the world, and when there are more people walking, it becomes a road.
This point of view also applies to rock climbing. So I’m presenting 100 different climbing routes in this hundred iterations, maybe just representing 100 different options.

The binding method of this publication is called whirlwind binding. In my impression, it is a traditional Chinese book style. Its form unfolds like a long picture scroll, which I think is consistent with the route and process of climbing.

Tried to use geometric figures to represent the rock climber to draw the movement trajectory of the rock climbing, hoping to show the effect of the rock climbing route.
