Positions through triangulating III

My work this week is mainly focused on how to visualize this project. I have done a lot of measurement experiments on subjective time before, but most of them are reflected in the form of digital records. My inquiry in this project is whether our own subjective judgment of time can also exist as an objective standard, if in the use of absolute power.

So maybe I can promote this subjective time from something that represents absolute power, or something that people believe in unconditionally. Through research, I found that in a certain period of China, a red pamphlet was promoted to a very high status by people at that time. Not only do people believe it unconditionally, but more interestingly, the book is held up as a kind of spiritual pillar. Maybe they were brainwashed by what was in it. This book is called the Red Treasure Book. In fact, the content of the book is just quotations of the leaders of the country at that time.

I  used red ink on red paper to try to hide some of the information. Because in the face of absolute power, some content is not important, we only have the qualification of consent。

In addition, I found that newspapers are a very effective way of communication, and the information content of newspapers is usually believed by people unconditionally. So I forged the Red Treasure Book and a The Times newspaper to promote subjective time. In this way, it simulates the behavior that the present time is identified as objective existence under the action of the absolute power of capitalism.

Newspapers have a strong dissemination and and compulsive, because the information cannot be changed, only accepted
